So there's all kinds of relationships which practice domestic discipline... I am a slave and I have a master and that is all well and good, but I was thinking about people who don't quite go that far and have something more of a 50's or earlier "standard" relationship or marriage....loving obedient housewife, husband is the "man of the house" so to speak... how many people who do this do it for non religious reasons? I'm not implying it's good or bad one way or another, but I have been thinking about religion and lack of religion and all the rules and everything.. and was just curious what the numbers were (in this tribe anyway). My master and I are both atheists if you were curious, but we are much more extreme than the 50's type relationship or marriage.

Re: Atheistic "traditional" relationships
Tue, August 25, 2009 - 11:55 AMI am in a Daddy/little girl relationship. The rules are not as strict as they are likely to be within a M/s dynamic, but he is my dominant. I've longed for a 50s vanilla relationship, but found in my situation I am not able to stay home and run the household. We need two incomes, and as much as I consider him the "man of the house" it is not a traditional 50's type relationship. We do not practice any religion. -

Re: Atheistic "traditional" relationships
Tue, August 25, 2009 - 8:35 PMHi Chrissy!!
Like Chrissy's situation, staying home is not an option for me as I am the one with the job at this point. My husband, my Daddy, is a student but I still consider him the man of the house. As the man of the house, I expect him to do the right thing by me and my kids. This is a serious responsibility that he has taken on and he has done an admirable job.
We are a Pagan couple. -
